    Hi,

We own an art gallery and we are discussing with a distribution agency about receiving some paintings. They told us that they:

"supply work framed on consignment with a 2.4 multiplier on the NET supply price"

We are a bit confused about what that means. Any thoughts?
    Thanks

Honestly, I don't know what that means, perhaps one of our other members will be able to help you with that one.

What I would say is that my personal experience in business is that when you don't understand something someone else says it is generally best to ask them to clarify it. People speak in different ways and use different terms, not understanding what someone else is saying is not something to be ashamed or embarrassed by. The person you ask for clarification should not think any less of you for it, in fact they may form a higher opinion of you, due to the fact that you will both understand each other better.

By the way, welcome to Business Advice Forum.
