The Good practices are to learn first and then ask questions.. Your questions are too general in term of SEO. Even a newbie know how to improve website traffic, PR, keyword ranking, backlink etc however everyone has their own style.

So learn first and then ask which can be answered in 500 words.. (I can't write more :( )

The questions are much more broad in nature. However, to answer it briefly

A - Write lots of original and new content to your site
B - Focus on keywords in your content as a theme
C - Building Backlink is probably the last thing and can happen only once content is placed on site.

    1. There are already a few thread on this, browse the forum and you will find them
    2. Make sure you are using the keywords in important places such as Title Tags, Description Meta Tags, and in the content of the website.
    3. Write articles and/or start discussions on Social networking sites, start a blog, use press releases when appropriate, participate in social media websites.

As both abhi-garg and saahil have mentioned, your questions are broad in nature, so my answers are also general. If you have more specific questions after browsing the forum
for threads already started, feel free to post them.

Although we do want more detailed, helpful posts, 500 words is probably too many, unless they are informative an helpful.

Start with great content on your site itself and work out from there. The more content you have, the easier it will be to build up backlinks and to retain new visitors. That is if you are providing content that is actually useful and interesting. If you aren't sure how to create content you can always pay someone else to do it for you. I've always had good luck with textbroker for offsite articles or leanwords for good quality content to put on my main site.

I will add to the general answer that everyone gave.

    1. Quality content. Awesome and outstanding content with the possibility of going viral.
    2. Study on-page SEO and master the answers to question #1 and #3.
    3. Build relationships, build a community, contribute your expertise and you will get it in return. The quality backlinks should come naturally.

    1. The site must have rich content and informative e.g. video, graphic, and text, PR is getting devalue not very important.
    2. Keywords ranking is dead, because the result personalize according to location, search history and login.
    3. Most quality backlink no need to build, it is automatically gain. e.g. someone share a wikipedia link at their blog, wikipedia never pay them a single cent for backlink.

No, keyword ranking is not dead. Personalization can be turned on and off.

Link building is still important since it is highly unlikely that people will link to your site naturally. On site optimization is useful is useful to SEO to certain extent. Having said that, it is also important that you get quality off site links.

You can either try to use the search engines doing SEO or you will have to work on building links that people click directly to your site, which you can do on other blogs, with comments, forums, social networks, guest posts on other people's blogs and so on.
