    Hi all,

I would be very greatfull if you could help me to name a new business that me and my wife are going to start up very soon,

The idea is to combine a greetings card shop with a traditional sweet shop, we have a premises and all the equipment and stock ready to go, but we can not agree on a new name for the shop,

So i know you are all very good at coming up with ideas and we seriously need some help,

I would like to see what you can come up with to help (before me and the wife fall out lol)

    Any ideas guys?

    Brett.

    Hey Bretttina,
This is my first post! The first thing that came into my mind was "Sweet Greetings." what would help is some more information. Is there anything that you do very well? Like chocolate truffles, etc?

How about naming it after your family name? This has been a very successful way to name your business for many retailers.

Using an abstract name might be useful too - how about using a metaphor for the kind of products you sell or your target demographic?

I think you need a wonderful LOGO too.
As for the name,I am afraid that "sweet greetings" will be too normal(not attractive).
I think amac's idea is better.

A traditional sweet shop opened in my home town about a year ago and they appear to be doing quite well. They are called "The Candy Stroe" and you can view their FaceBook page here.

    What about "Sweet Surprise".

The first thing that popped in to my mind was "Sweet Greetings", but kateherbert had already said that. My other suggestions:

    Sweets n' Greets
    Hello, Sweety
    GoodGifts

Here is an example for Sweets N' Greets that I just made:

These are great suggestions and names. Brettina have you and your wife though of a theme that you would like to name it on? What actually did you first think of that got yourself to argue? Personally I think Sweets n' Greets, Salvete Fudge and Sweet Greetings are great names worth considering.

Thanks guys for all your great suggestions,

But i think we are going to go with "Sweet n Greet" as the name for the new store,

So once again thank you to all of you who suggested a name for us.

    Brett.

I totally got the name Sweet Greetings and then saw a poster above said the same thing.

So I think something along that line might be popular. ;)

your best bet would be to sit somewhere in a quiet area and brainstorm. Write a few ideas down on paper, read a few business articles in a magazine or online, view a few YouTube videos pertain into what you were trying to do, so this way, your brain can start flowing with some creative ideas as to what kind of business made to come up with. If you need further assistance, please let me know how I may be of service in helping you :)

Good call Kateherbert! That name's pretty much one of the best options that you could think of considering the context. And if Brettina is looking for something less formal and more "corny", maybe something like "Sweet n Greet" is more to your taste?
