It is a bit hard to give suggestion, as we not sure your business location. By the way, below are some tips to choose a furniture supplier:

    1. Furniture must not add extra charges for shipping.
    2. Warranty
    3. Service and support
    4. Second hand furniture supplier, as it is cheaper (Some of the furniture are in good condition, it can reduce cash spending)
    5. Credit term (New business is tight with cash flow)

Welcome to our business forum David.

You could check your local newspaper classified ads and any classified websites for your local area. You may be able to pick up some great value furniture from company's who are downsizing or even going out of business. Perhaps there are some liquidation sales or auctions in your area.

It is better if you wrote your place so that we can write accordingly. if you are US residential then some good names for discount and quality furniture are

    Overstock
    burke decor
    das cheap
    sears
    global industrial
    bari leather furniture

If you need discount you can search their coupon codes and use them at checkout.

You can try looking up on some classified sites where you'll be able to get furniture at low rates. Also you'll be able to choose that you want to purchase new or used. Here are some of the sites which can be helpful for you.

    http://craigslist.co.uk
    http://olx.co.uk
    http://uk.backpage.com/
    http://www.oodle.co.uk/
    http://www.gumtree.com/
    http://www.vivastreet.co.uk/
    http://www.classifieds.co.uk/

Also another way would be you can try looking up local furniture sellers in your area or some online sellers like http://www.furnitureforsale.com/. And also we'd able to help you further if you can tell us what kind of furniture you're looking, I mean new in condition or old condition and also your budget for it.

    Hi David,
I would advise you to please contact the these furniture suppliers Forest Contract and Leather Sofa Shop, as they are offering 10% and 5% discounts exclusively to the Wholesale Pages buyers. You will definitely find the desired furniture for your meeting room on good discounted deals.

Where are you based from? You must canvass first and find the great deal you think of.

Depending on how far along your startup business is, I would urge you to be very cautious about spending much money on meeting room furniture unless you meet clients or customers and need to make a good impression. Furniture that people are going to sit at (or on) all day needs to be ergonomically sound or you can create real health problems for you and your employees. Meetings, however, are hopefully relatively short and the furniture can be much more utilitarian. In fact, there have been a slew of recent articles on stand up meetings, a key feature of agile software development.

I have been advising startups for more than two decades and I have unfortunately seen many occasions (mostly in the late 1990's) where money was extravagantly spent on furniture and other trappings of success before success was actually achieved. In most of those cases, the extravagance helped bury the business and ultimately gave someone else a chance to pick up some nice furniture at rock-bottom prices.

Why not look on the nearest furniture shop from your area?
