My own laptop is a Dell and I have to say that I am very happy with it. It has 6GB RAM and an Intel i5 processor. When buying computer equipment my persona preference has always been Dell, but obviously different people have different preferences.

I have been using my DELL Studio 1749 since last two years. I don't find any issues with it still...
4GB RAM and i3 Processor with 200GB Hard Disk.
you will have 1yr manufacturer warranty wit DELL, and you can extend it with additional cost.

My Suggestion would be DELL forever...

I have used a Dell Laptop before and the brand and its products are really reliable laptops I had ever used. As an American Brand, it is simply among the best laptops you can choose from. :)

I cannot really tell you what to buy. But I can tell you I've had trouble with Sony and Toshiba. My Dell has worked well, although I had keyboard issues. But that issue was better than the Sony/Toshiba issues, which made the machines inoperable.

That would be largely dependent on the use you intend to put the laptop to, can you please tell us a little more about that? E.g. do you plan on running any really large programs on it?

You might want to check that whatever laptop you buy has the capacity to play the particular games that you like. Some games can be very demanding on a computer and may require a high end graphics card. If you are just playing standard games, i.e. games that are not particularly demanding on computer resource, it sounds as if any mid range Dell laptop would meet your requirements.

As you will be playing a lot of games I'd suggest that you buy a laptop with the best graphics card and the most RAM that you can afford.

Buy Dell or HP. I have Dell, very good laptop.
If you want to play the games, I advise you to take laptop with i7 and with the latest graphics card.
