Alexishost, installation services sounds like a good idea. A lot of people who are starting out, don't know how to install scripts and would welcome some help with that. If you provided a script installation service that would be very helpful for people who want to get their first site up and running. If they chose you for their first site and you provide them with a good level of overall service, you may get a customer for life. You could add WordPress blogging software and perhaps some forum software such as PHPBB, to the list.

Other services you could offer might include helping them setting up their email account, helping to get their site indexed in Google or giving them a free directory listing.

    Good luck with it!

Mate you are doing great job. just make sure about your services be connect all your customer. the simple way is provide better service on communication and online support. put 24/7 live support, keep R&D team who work on customers issues like service down time, virus protection and other so problems. The customer should not get disappointed because you are not replying them. try to be attached every time. The email support is the best way to keep updated your promotion strategies and changes with your register customer.

Overall customer satisfaction is the bid goal of any company.

Alexishost, I'd worry about expanding capacity/servers. I just clicked
on one of the links in your signature and here's what I got in return:

    "Network Timeout
The server at alexishost.com is taking too long to respond.
The requested site did not respond to a connection request
and the browser has stopped waiting for a reply."

Or was I so unlucky that you were on maintenance? (Time: GMT 6.20 a.m.)

All those signature links are opening for me now, hopefully it was a temporary glitch.

Still getting the same message today... (GMT 6.35 a.m.) This is the page I'm trying to
    access: http://alexishost.com/compare-hosting-plans.html
Could it be because I use a proxy?!

    Hello Fergal,

I would suggest only two points:

1.Your solution should be technically sound, best quality servers.
2.Top notch ,immediate and helpful customer support

That page is opening fine for me. Hopefully Alexishost will respond soon with some idea as to why you might be seeing that error.

Thanks for the suggestions rebecca16, but just to clarify I don't own the site, it is owned by our member Alexishost.

Alexishost, since we have several computers at home, our internet access is
through our own home proxy server and it is a transparent proxy that
identifies itself as such and makes our original IP available. It is not intended to
hide anything or provide anonymous access. To some extent it works also as a
shield that protects the various users against spyware, virus, etc.

    No harm or fraud intended.:)

When we were first starting out we would have gladly paid someone to install a CMS for us that knew what they were doing because we struggled. We didn't even know where to look for that service LOL, which shows you how naive we were about the whole process. It's a good service to offer. My husband's done that for others since then and I've shown them how to use it after the installation. We know how hard it was for us in the beginning and don't let others flounder if we can help it.

I'd suggest you include a free tutorial or links to tutorials that explain how to operate it after it's installed and give them the alternative of a short period of paid tuition. It's not that hard to coach someone over MSN and even easier now that Skype's popular. Like us, all the ones we helped wanted to do was get up and running. If it takes forever to get the installation right your enthusiasm takes a beating. I think when we've been online for a long time we forget-after the simple becomes easy-how hard it was initially! :)

Alex why dont you add asp blogging services on your hosting. there is no one who offers blogging with asp.net hosting. i spent huge money on getting an asp blog for my site because the server was windows based.
