    I got a Good Document from the net regarding Mergers and Acquisitions which i would like to share.

    An acquisition always involves the purchase of one company by another.

    Is this a Business Rule ?

    When another company acquires another company, the new corporate brand name has to have both the names i.e buyer and target co name ?

    It is not necessary to have both the names of the corporates i.e Any brand name can be given to the new corporate ?

    Examples :

    1.Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham -> GlaxoSmithKline
    2.Chrysler and Daimler-Benz -> DaimlerChrysler
    3.Tech Mahindra and Satyam Computer Services -> Mahindra Satyam

    Thanks & Regards,
