We were looking for tips and help identifying the best promotion methods for our online shopping business and any unconventional or novel advertising ideas. It is a website that finds people the cheapest deals by comparing the prices from the major retailers on the high street and online. We would be interested in learning about the most cost effective methods but also something a little different from the standard ad networks. Also we have printed out some good quality leaflets and distributed some of them locally. The business is UK based. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have posted a link to the site below.

    Thank you.

Okay, first of you should get some advertisements out there. You can use kontera, google ads and many more. What you also might want to do is run a promotion, you know, like 50% off or something of that nature. Also, if you want to get people to join your facebook group or fan page, tell your friends about it, then get them to tell their friends about it, and so on.

Welcome to Business Advice Forum Joe, thanks for joining. Have you done anything to promote the site to date?

Do you plan on implementing an SEO campaign for the site? Do you have a budget to promote it, or are you planning on using all free promotional methods?

Online marketing is one of the most lucrative industries these days. Although great marketing is necessary to assist sales, traditional buyers do not make buying decisions from marketing and advertising alone. This strategy can sometimes work well in the B-to-C world, but rarely in B-to-B marketing. Set Timing for Each Step Listing action steps is not enough -- you must establish a timetable for each step.
