    Marketing is the process of developing and implementing a plan to identify, anticipate and satisfy consumer demand, in such a way as to make a profit. The two main elements of this plan are market research to identify and anticipate customer requirements and the planning of an appropriate marketing mix to meet these requirements. Market research involves gathering and recording information about consumers, market, product, and the competition in an organised way. The information is then analysed and used to inform marketing decisions

    Marketing strategies is 2 type : Pull marketing and push marketing .
    Can anybody describe both terms with simple example ?

    I agree with you. Successful marketing comes from good planning and strategies. And most new entrepreneurs, like me, have a hard time with the strategy and planning part. I am currently reading and studying on how to improve that. This one HERE gave me good basic sets of guidelines. Those are handy specially when all the pressure comes in :)

    Businesses that succeed do so by creating and keeping customers. They do this by providing better value for the customer than the competition.

    Marketing management constantly have to assess which customers they are trying to reach and how they can design products and services that provide better value (“competitive advantage”).

    The main problem with this process is that the “environment” in which businesses operate is constantly changing. So a business must adapt to reflect changes in the environment and make decisions about how to change the marketing mix in order to succeed. This process of adapting and decision-making is known as marketing planning.

    Market Planning contains a list of actions, a marketing plan without a sound marketing strategy is of no use.
    Marketing strategies serve as a fundamental underpinning of marketing plans designed to fill market needs and reach marketing objectives.

    Marking planning is a complex term that can be easily described in simple words. Marketing is the study how to promote the ones goods and services whether you want to go for internet marketing or use any other marketing tool.

    All the tips that you shared over here are really good and nice understanding with marketing. Marketing is not a small thing as we easily say that we are doing online marketing job or marketing of a product. It is a wide field but the concept behind of it is selling through adopting different techniques and making your product meaningful in the eye of customer.

    Marketing almost includes everything - from advertising, to offering your products, creating plans to compete with other industry/business, etc. Marketing is a business game that is always present and can never be excluded in any business form/aspect.

    I agree with your points.Market research is an important step in marketing,which helps to understand different market,new product development,leading brands,competition in market etc. and understanding customer demand is another important factor.start business only in that field which satisfy customer need.
