Hey I would suggest Go Daddy. I know lots of people complain about cheap hosts like GD, but I have had no issues with it so far. I would like to hear others opinions as well ! :)

They may have changed but it used to be that GoDaddy didn't offer you complete access to your cpanel permissions, which was a pain in the butt if you wanted to install certain systems.

Look at A Small Orange. We liked those guys. They were very helpful. Not sure what their packages entail now though. They also have a referral program where you can get the equivalent of a monthly payment of the plan the person orders. We used them before moving to another for a deal on a VPS.

GoDaddy is ONLY good for domain names, that is it. For a good host I suggest HostMonster.com

If you want a world class customer support then you should be willing to shell out a little more.i did the same and found hostgator(www.hostgator.com).
I have found them to be the best.

I would recommend not to have the domain name registered and hosted by the same company. This is because they are most likely good at doing one serviced but not both. Go daddy is great for domain registering and hostgator is great for hosting. I use both of them exclusively. Hostgators cpanel is extensive and complete and customer support is available 24/7. I wouldn't go cheap on hosting, it's just not worth it.

    To your success,

    Dan

Agreed that godaddy only good for domain names but not the hosting. Hostgator is one of the best hosting but their hosting cost is little bit higher than your budget. Anyway, you might consider namecheap, their basic hosting is about $3 per month

NameCheap is my favourite domain name registrar, they provide good value and are extremely user-friendly. Have you used NameCheap hosting yourself? How would you rate it?

I have the same thoughts, I suggest to regoster a domain with either name cheap or godaddy. Then to setup a hosting account with hostgator.

HostGator provides with all the features that you have mentioned. Moreover, you can get the first month for only $0.01 using coupon code "hgc25"
