    Afternoon folks,

I just bought an iPad 2 for my girlfriend as she prepares to go on maternity leave, does anyone here own one? Is there any applications you would recommend? I want to set it up with a couple of games ready for when she comes home later to surprise her :)

Sure she will love it, what colour you bought? Normally girl prefer white colour
I receive my iPad2 few weeks ago, just use it for one day and now my wife using it, not me, it seems no more belong to me just because I bought the white colour ipad2

I have one and I got one for my niece. The only apps I use are ones to help me with my business, to make it as close to my desktop as possible.
I have all the social bookmarking and social networking apps installed.

I haven't bought one. For those that have an iPad, do you use it for posting on forums? How user-friendly is it for that?

i've tried posting here using my iPad. but it gets annoying since you have to enlarge every now and then just to click the right link. if you have huge fingers it would be difficult.

If your finger is too "huge", yes I mean finger :p
Then, you might consider to buy a keyboard for iPad

Thanks everyone, looking at BAF on the iPad makes me want one, it would definitely be very convenient for checking in on the forum, when I'm not at my desk.

I have an iPod touch which I use to check up on forums and emails when I am not on my laptop. It is ok to read with although I tend not to actually reply to topics, PM's or emails unless I need to or if it is going to be a short reply.

This is why apple success. iPad and iPhone is taking over the market, when you try on the product, it is hard for you to leave

Absolutely, I have a MacBook Air, but didn't think i'd be a fan of the iPad, but it's brilliant, so many great apps - like Vignatuure, a digital signature touch screen app - you literally write your signature to sign PDF documents, it's great.

All Apple products are simply amazing. I admire the User Interface design they have created. Anyway, the iPad is awesome. Have fun with it. :)
