Is there a affordable way to find keywords for a site? other than keyword spy or compete which are not reachable to normal marketers. Is it possible to know the keywords for which a site ranks and keep monitoring it for a reasonable price. Any one sharing their experience would be greatly appreciated.

    Try using SEMRush.

It does provide some data that may be helpful for you in monitoring your competitors and their keywords targets as well.

Try browsing for google's "keyword generator" tool... it free for all. Of course you may not get comprehensive data as other paid system does, but this can still be very useful :)

Try Google keywords tool which is best I think, first check your competitors keywords competition and their traffic then select your own, always choose those which have low competition and high traffic.
