    Hi there,

I want to know, if an LLC which is currently a service provider company, can switch to a manufacturing company? Can this be done? How?

I think, if it is a newly formed LLC & a tax return has never been filed so far, the above mentioned change can be made without doing any kind of further paperwork. Just putting the correct NAICS code on the 1st tax return should do the job. Please let me know if you have any opinion here.

    Thanks.

LLC rules can vary from state to state but there should be no reason why you can't switch from service to manufacturing.

Some professional services in certain states are not allowed to operate as an LLC, but that does not apply to the case you're describing.
