how long is a piece of string? sorry. It will be impossible to give you an definitive response to your question. There are too many factors involved that could change between now and in 2 years time.

    What type of business?
How much stock will you hold (if any)?
Would you need to own/rent an office?
    Would you immediately require staff?
What legal and set up fees are appropriate for the type of business entity you would like to start?
What type of marketing campaign would you require?

These are just a few questions that you should start to think about now so that you get a better understanding of what you want to do and if you can afford to do it.

hi olgaday, Sean is correct you will need to tell us a little more about your business before we can begin to help you. Someone starting a website based business and working from home can get set-up with very little capital, whereas someone starting a bricks and mortar retail business would need a lot more capital.

Would it be possible for you to set the business up on a part time basis while you are still working?

Do you plan on writing a business plan for your venture? You might find the business plan related links in our Useful Business Resources / Links helpful.
