see at many places that google adwords as scam, is it true?
Adwords is Google's name for their pay-per-click, or sponsored, advertising program. Other search engines have different names for their pay-per-click advertising as well. These are NOT scams, they are legitimate advertising programs, and there are legitimate firms who can help run these programs.
However, there are people out there who will use these programs to try and scam people. For instance, I have seen many examples of companies who claim they can get websites to the top of page one of Google overnight, and the owner of the website thinks they are going to be in the organic listings, but they then find out they are in the pay-per-click ads. There are probably others that sell books that claim to have "secrets" to running an adwords marketing program, or even giving away these books, when all they are trying to do is build their own mailing list, so they can get people to join their other "money-making" scams.
In short, Adwords in not a scam, and if you need help, there are honest people out there who can help you with it.
How is that profitable in any way for the scammer?
Noooo Google Adwords are not scam at all, it is one of the most authorized advertising program of the biggest search engine Google.
The scammer collect upfront money more than budget require for Adwords. They subscribe with Adwords with limited 1-2 click per day, then they tell clients that their site is in top search. Usually client will not click it, or may be just click it once or twice in a month.
A Pay-per-click program requires constant maintenance to make sure that the keyword phrases being targeted are still producing results, and to determine if other keyword phrases can be added. A monthly fee is charged for this maintenance.
