I need some clarification on different business structures.

    Say

"Mainland Trading Co " is a trading company
but under Mainland is 'Swag Shoes" llc, a company that sells shoes

, also under "mainland" is " e-tronics" a company that sells electronics.

would "Mainland Trading Co" be incorporated or how would "Mainland" be structured?

    what about a Holdings company?

Incorporation means forming only a corporation; however what we mean is forming a distinct and separate legal business entity. A Partnership describes any business or enterprising venture where there is more than one owner involved. The partners in a partnership can be individuals, corporations, or trusts, and the ownership is shared among the partners; this includes all income as well as all debt and liability.
