Including advertising flyers with products you ship?

I have received many products that included advertising flyers from other companies. Is there a list of companies that will pay for this service or do you merely contact them individually and negotiate? I currently ship several hundred products monthly and would like to offset costs by including a couple of on subject flyers as I am in a very specialized market. Thanks for any input.

I'd assume you'd need to contact them. Do you really want to fill your clients with crap for the sake of a few pennies per package?

I'd hoped to solicit a more substantive, informative discussion on the topic and not the moral implications of advertising inclusion, which cannot be addressed in anything other than broad based opinion without further information regarding the particular product(s), which for this particular conversation is unnecessary.

I guess so. I normally get annoyed when this happens to me though. Maybe others don't mind as much.

Although I do not agree with the manner in which it was brought up, Hosting Specialists does have a point. I myself have received various other offers along with the normal mail I would get from companies with which I do business, and I always throw them away. But, as you say, you are not looking for reasons why you should, or should not, include other companies ads with your mailings, you want to know how it is done. In my case, these ads are most often received with regular mailings, not with merchandise, so I would assume this is done by a company that puts together the mailings for them. Very large companies may have a marketing department that would take care of the arrangements for them. The ads would be obtained by the individual companies, and then they would send multiple copies to the company doing the mailing(or shipping, in your case). Whether, and how, you would do this would depend on the size of your company.
As far as the "substantive, informative discussion" you wished to have, your thread was created one day ago. Give it a few days, and I respectfully ask that you not judge us based on the behavior of one member who, like you, joined a short time ago, and may not be aware of what is, and is not, acceptable behavior.

I don't tend to mess about with nice words lol. The way I see it, if I've spent money on a product, I don't expect advertisements. If I didn't pay for the product, then sure, load it up.
