How can we put a loading image in a website and reduce loading time of images in a website?
Try to image for web, which will reduce the size of image.
Loading time increases with the size of the image. You can use the <img> tag to load the images. You can get some reviews about websites from yahoo websites review.
You should try some CDN service such as maxcdn or cloudflare (it does support free account as well) to increase the loading speed.
also to increase the loading speed of your website you can use ssd based hosting solutions
zeropid can you please tell us a little more about that, what it is and how it helps?
The load time of a website is directly correlated to the demand made on the server to load the website. The more HTTP requests made to the server and the longer elements take to render, the slower a website will be.
Examples of HTTP requests are:
loading CSS style sheets;
Another factor that plays into the load time of a website is the size of individual files and images. Large, high resolution images can take 10x as long to load as normal images and unnecessarily large files can drastically slow down page rendering.
The goal of making a website fast is to make the website more efficient. We can do this through making a series of adjustments to the coding, images, and layout of our website.
Resizing the image and slightly decreasing it's quality can make it load faster. You can do this in Adobe Photoshop.
You can zip the entire image whatever you are using into the website.
Google is offering wonderful tools to measure website speed and lot many tips how to reduce the website speed.
