I'm looking to start an English football forum, and apart from the domain - I have it all planned out.

Does anyone have any short and snappy domain names ideas?

    Regards
    Ryan

Do you have any TLD preferences? Or words that should be included in the domain?
Another question, what kind of football forum is this; a soccer or American football one?

I checked name.com for the available domains and these are the ones that are available:
    kicktheball.org
    kickingballs.org
    the-football-forum.net
    the-football-forum.org
    football-forum.net
    thefootballfield.org
    the-football-field.com
    the-football-field.net
    the-football-field.org
    kicktheball.org
    kick-the-ball.com
    kick-the-ball.net
    kick-the-ball.org
    thegoalkeeper.net
    thegoalkeeper.org
    goal-keeper.net
    goal-keeper.org
    the-goalkeeper.net
    the-goalkeeper.org
    the-goal-keeper.com
    the-goal-keeper.net
    the-goal-keeper.org

    I'll post more later.

It's a soccer forum (so English football). Thank you for all the names you've came up with! That's brilliant.

Do you think football-forum.net would be good? I like it, but I bet some users would forget to include the - in it.

    Thank you again. :)

I don' think it would be a problem as long as you emphasize it on your site's logo and banner.

I might register it then, it's just a matter of whether I wait to get the funds for XenForo, or whether I start with MyBB and pay an extra £30/£40 and get it converted by staff.

Thank you for the help, Dan, it's very appreciated!

The only downside to having "football" in the name is that it can be taken as like for me: AFL, which is obviously Australia Football league then there's also the American one and yeah.. I don't know up to you though, it's just a though. Would soccer may be better since everyone knows soccer is going to mean exactly that.

With regards to what korashio suggested, I tried checking domains using "soccer" instead of "football".
    Here they are:

soccer-forums.com <--- this one looks really perfect!
    soccer-forums.org
    thesoccerforum.org
    thesoccorforums.com
    thesoccorforums.net
    thesoccorforums.org

    soccershootout.com
    footballshootout.com

Had to read a bit on soccer but the shootout seems to be a tiebreaker at the end of the game. But I'd agree that soccer-forums.com would be easiest to rank on google.
