Recently I installed "GoStats" on my website. And I am fully satisfied with GoStats.
I get many facilities from it. And I got a few extra features which you do not get from other web statistics companies. It is also cheaper than others. I like it very much for these reasons:

-It gives the detailed information to our visitor.
    -It offers multi-language support.
    -Can calculate bounce rate.
-It also gives reports data in real time and many other things.

What is your choice for selecting your web statistics? Let's go for discussing our web statistics.

I’ve heard the name GoStats first time, currently we are using Google Analytics and AWstats to analyze web statistics. For us, data from analytics is quite good as we can track from where we are actually receiving sales orders. We also monitor AWstats to check whether we are receiving any unnecessary hits from some bots so we can block them.

I have been using Google analytics from starting itself and have never thought to try anything else as it meets my requirement, but I was wondering about the difference in these tools as compared to Google?

Google Analytics is probably the leading stats provider. They have a great API that can be used for custom applications and they are always adding new stuff.

What are you talking about? GoStats or others?

Actually I am fully satisfied with GoStats. But now I think it's time to move on the next one.
Most of them told about Google analytics and Awstats. I know about GA but I din't try awstats.
Ok next time I will try to use it. But GoStats is really awesome :)

Oh no, some old information about google analytics and awstats in this thread...

Here are some updates for 2014:
-Many webmasters are abandoning Google Analytics in droves because of huge problems with the data monopoly and how google uses that data to steal value from your traffic. (Think of it like distracting away your current and potential customers with their monopoly ad network. They can do this because you have "tagged" your site to give away all your information). Long story short is that if you still use google analytics today people won't take you seriously. But the more critical part is that your business is being sapped and slowly dieing.

-awstats, is ok - but I would have said that in 2005... Use a more up to date product. nayemseo mentioned gostats, while I haven't tried their hosted version, I've used the open source version and it is great for bot identification and alters to that effect.
