Is there any requirement such as sales volume or high Google ranking, on the online store to utilize Google affiliate program?
How can a new business site employ Google affiliate program and run it well?
Or are there some other affiliate programs and online marketing channels which are useful and effective for a new rising site.
    Please share your views. Thanks!

Are you going to be the publisher or the advertiser? I don't know much of their affiliate program. Although you can check out http://www.google.com/ads/affiliatenetwork/publisher/terms.html

I am going to be the advertiser but it's the first for me to get involved in it. And I have such a feeling that the affiliate manager is reluctant to do it for a new site. He seems to worry about its capability of managing and maintaining affiliate program.

Google Affiliate? Is this somewhat related to Adsense? Or an entirely different thing?

I've personally never heard about Google having an affiliate program myself either. The only type of "affiliate" program I know of them having is AdSense itself. If you do find some more information regarding towards this matter, I'd love to hear about it. In the mean time, I might go ahead and do some of my own research on what it is.

Very interesting, so is it needed to have a blogger blog in order to do this? It almost makes it sound like PayToPost in a way, just with Google.

Google Affiliates Recognize That Content Is Not King, It's Everything. Writers, or rather good writers are already enjoying a huge advantage as Google affiliates. Only well written content will attract quality traffic and only interesting engrossing content will keep that traffic coming back again and again. Only high-quality keyword rich content will keep a site high in search engine rankings and thus guarantee enough traffic to keep Google affiliate adsense earnings high.

Becoming a Google affiliate is one way in which you can have the best of both worlds. Not only do they have a great program for you to promote, if you are good at promoting it, you can walk away with some nice commissions.

Adsense or joining the Google Affiliate program would be a good idea. You can start on your blog actually.

Google Affiliate Network is something like other Affiliate Network. You would need a adsense account to get approved for affiliate account only if you are going go signup as publisher.

For advertiser you no need Adsense account. More over you would need to pay per click in this program. (As for I know)

Once you got approved as publisher account, you can search affiliate program related to your niche / region and then send application to the advertiser. Advertiser then review your application, and they should approve you. Rest things as usual.
