I've read one article about 'Sustaining Customer Relationship'
    Hope it will be helpful.

It is a difficult task to sustain or keep up the collaborative relationship for a long period. The supplier firm follows the objectives of continuity and growth to ensure a long term collaborative relationship with the customer firm. These are achieved by the following methods.

Behavioral Factors – Business marketers ensure that behavioral factors like trust, commitment, coordination, communication and conflict resolution are given due importance in building continuity in relationships with customer organizations.

Growth in Business – The supplier firm can achieve the objective of growth in business by convincing the customer firm that single sourcing arrangement with them will give increased benefits and minimize risk. This could be done over a period of time by overcoming the customer’s concern of stock outs, price competition or quality reduction.

Bringing in line Company interest – Both customers and supplier firms have collaborative relationship keeping in mind their organizational self interest. This can be achieved by having mutual agreements.

If you are innovator and understand the customer need then it will be very easy for you to sustain your customers. You have to define your target market and then make policies to get customer attention. Keep in mind that you have to be in good relationships with your customers to generate sustainability.

If you continue to give value to your customers, you will never have a problem with your relationship with them.
