Plug your site to Google Page Speed Insight. It will show you what needs to be improved in terms of page loading speed optimization. That's one of the easiest ways to improve your website's loading speed.

The answer is simple: send less data. This means optimising your CSS and JS. Removing scripts and features you don't need and only using a plugin when there is no alternative.

But it could be you are hosted on a shared server with thousands of other sites which means it's never going to be quick.

First of all, Go to GTMetix and check out what's the thing needed to speed up your website for ex: CDN Issue, Java scripts, ETags or Avoiding header.

There are many software to speedup your wordpress website.

    1. compress your images (wp smush it) it'll compress without loosing the quality of image.
    2. use wp lazy load plugin
    3. use W3 Cache plugin
    4. if your still facing the slow website change the hosting server.

Check your site with google page speed tool. You probably just need to minify js and css. and compress image. This tool will generate minified css and js files and compressed images for your site. You will just have to replace these files with existing files on your website. Also avoid using flash in your website.

use image expiration tag so your browser doesn't need to load your images every time you visit your website, it simply fetches images from cache. and if you want to speed up your website on mobile then you can use AMP version of your website.

    Great answers here.

    Your website speed depends on:

    - Your CMS
    - Your themes and plugins
    - Your web host
    - Your website assets (images, videos)

You can get a better idea on what's slowing down your website by running a test on https://gtmetrix.com/

What you are looking for is the waterfall section, see which files are taking the most time: https://i.imgur.com/KAbEOye.png

Notice in the image (https://i.imgur.com/KAbEOye.png) how some files are taking over 10 seconds to load!

Those files will need to be looked into, the solution is usually:

    - Compress files
    - Host files on a Content Delivery Network

Hopefully that answers your question, let us know how it goes!

ensure that the pictures in your website are well optimised. Check the Google search console tool, there you can find the errors found in your website. Use social media to gain more traffic to your website through which you can improve your ranking.

Won't make any difference. Google doesn't check the page structures and scripts you are loading (which is the biggest problem with many websites)
SM traffic won't improve your ranking.

As many people have said, Google speed check is great. But also keep an eye on your image sizes and any scripts you have running. Also, a lot of ad scripts can really slow down a page.

In order to speed your site up, you have to use different checking tools, like Google Insight Speed, Gmetrix, Pingdom to see what you need to improve to your site. Besides, you have to know what happens to your pictures, are they good but heavy? The heavier pictures on a page, the slower your page will load. This will affect your SEO campaign much, especially amp technique.

I second the advice from the folk above to get your website passed through the online free tool to get exactly and even bigger picture that why your website is slow and what you can do to get rid of it. Mostly the slow speed issue is connected with the high resolution images you upload

If you are using WordPress , then first take a backup of your wp data through file zilla in order to avoid any risk, then compress your images sizes through fast stone image resizer after doing it replace your old images with the compress images through file Zila , I personally do that for my website ,and it really helps me in increasing website speed .

One more thing you can also increase the bandwidth of your site to increase speed, by contacting your hosting provider ,At last, try your best to use just most essential plugins and do the other stuff through custom coding rather than you just increasing the number of plugins and make your site heavy.
