Hey, I hope you guys can help me! I recently formatted my memory stick that was used on my Canon camera. And I also used the same memory stick to take a few new photos. But, I really wanted to get back the previous photos. Do you have any idea? Do you know how to restore original photos back from a formatted camera memory stick? Help me, please! Thanks a lot!

In most cases, after you format the memory card in a camera or on the computer, the boot area and file information blocks (root, FAT) were emptied and initialized. The memory card looks like as if it is empty and contains no files, but the file bodies are still there (disk format). Therefore, it is still possible to retrieve the lost pictures using photo recovery software including Card Recovery. For more information, watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76MPk1waj3E

There is no time to worry right now!

    1. Keep this camera memory stick away form any new file before you’ve rescued all your lost photos.

    2. Apply data recovery tool like Recuva, 4Card Recovery, PhotoRec and more to take chances. Just remember to act carefully in the process of data recovery.

    3. Ask a data recovery specialist or company for help, if the data recovery tool doesn’t help you out.

Note: Never be so careless about your camera photos again and also remember to back up all photos or files timely in the future.
    Good luck!
