Make your website attractive so that the user don't went away immediately from your website. And avoid pop up pages it make the user irritate and he can close your website and bounce rate got increase.

Web traffic is cover up by new visitor via return visitor. Usually new user is the group who generate high bounce rate, where by return visitor decrease bounce. To increase return visitor, the must have relevant content, subscription service and faster loading speed.

Reducing bounce rate in your pages is simply optimizing for your page to cater what your audience wants to see. If the audience see what they are looking for in that page most likely the page will reduce bounce rate. But it still depends on the kind of website you have. Some bounce rates are good.

If visitors will come to your site, stay for some time and visit your different pages, then your bounce rate will be decreased. It is only possible when you have optimized your site with proper content and useful information, designed your site and your landing page properly.

    1) People bounce because you're not meeting their expectation
    2) Manage their expectation with better Headline intros.

    3) Google drops you if your bounce rate is high.
    How do they know?
Your visitor just hit the back button and came back to Google in 3.297 seconds.

This is why writers have editors and designers have directors. Get objective critiques.

A bounce rate of less than 30% is good, but with 60% or higher, you have a problem.

way's to reduce bounce rate :

    Be Careful with External Links
    Add Account for Social Media
    Improve Loading Times

Page loading time is one of the main reason why people leaving the site in less than a three seconds. Page size affects the speed, so try to maintain your page size just below the global average of 600kb.

    bounce rate?

85-90% people leave the website after the first 10 seconds (Result of Research conducted in Nov-2012). It increases the bounce rate and overall affects the website. My question is how to reduce the bounce rate for the website?

Update quality and unique content to your site, When user visit your site and found interesting and informative information, they spend some time at your site and also decide to visit again. So in this way if you regularly update some unique and informative content at your blog or website, you can decrease your bounce rate.

As per my suggestion, bounce rates the percentage pf visitors that hit a page and don't visit any others within the same site/ It is used to measure the effectiveness of landing pages and is connected to Search Engine Optimization. Sometimes and in some cases, bounce rates may not be a relevant metric. There are several ways that may help in lowering the site's bounce rates and it includes:
    1. Making Data-Informed Decisions.
    2. Prioritize and Optimize.
    3. Utilize Profiling and Segmentation.
    4. Maintain Keyword Integrity.
    5. Improve Loading Times.
    6. Be careful with the External Links.
    7. Account for Social Media.
    8. Don't get tricky

    Hope this will help you.

create great content and link to more great content .. if everybody bounces there's a reason <-- they didnt find anything worth sticking around for or they found the one thing they were looking for and bounced. Stumbleupon is great for jacking with your bounce rate .. just wait until you get hit by 80 thousand people stumbling one page
