Seagate external hard drive gives us instant capacity, speed and convenience in an ever-increasingly mobile environment at both work and at home. We can take favorite photos, music, movies, documents, even games on the way to business trips, vacations, etc. when Seagate external hard drive stops working or files in it lost, it will be more serious than lose a necessity in our daily life. Fortunately, we can get them back with Seagate file recovery tool. The tutorial below tells you how to recover data from Seagate external hard drive.

If data was just deleted from Seagate external hard drive, things will be much easier. Connect Seagate external hard drive with external
USB hard drive adapter to a good working desktop or laptop. Download or purchase Seagate data recovery software like Card Data Recovery. Use the software to scan the drive and recover deleted data.

If Seagate external hard drive can be recognized but there is a message that you have to format the disk before using it. In this case, try to plug the external hard drive into another computer to see if it gives the same error message. It would be good to know if it’s isolated to one computer only. If it gives the same error message, you have to format it first and then use Seagate recovery software to retrieve files in the formatted drive.

If Seagate external hard drive not be detected, things will be complicated. If that happens, you should go to Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Computer Management, and then select Storage Disk Management. The drive should be listed in the physical pane at the bottom if it is connected as a mass storage device. It is possible that the file systems on the drive have become corrupted, in which case it would show up in this pane, but not in the upper pane with logical volumes. If it shows up here, you can right click on the empty space to take an appropriate action: format it or add a drive letter. Format it may cause losing all data in it, however, you can use Seagate external hard drive recovery software to help you recover formatted files from it.
If the drive does not show up in Computer Management, that means the drive is not physically connected to the machine as storage device. You can remove the external hard drive and connect it to another new PC with proper USB to see whether it can be detected by it or not. If not, you have to ask the help of Seagate recovery center to get back lost data.

Windows data recovery software proves to be an optimum tool to recover lost or accidentally deleted files and folders from Windows file systems. The tool, Kernel for Windows data recovery is suitable for repairing corrupt FAT and NTFS file systems. Using this software it is possible to recover data from damaged or deleted hard disk partitions, formatted or re-formatted hard disk, corrupt Windows registry and even from damaged hard disk.

    Hi guys,

It is very simple to recover deleted files from external hard drive. Yesterday unknowingly i deleted some important files from WD drive which are part of my previous project. My friend suggested me a recovery software, which helped me a lot to get back my files.

If you want try the tool which i used. It is here:
