    There are specific tips you can follow to increase the chances that your email is read and creates the results you’re after. Follow these ten ways to improve your email copy to get the best possible response for you next eBlast.

    1. Subject Line
    Your email subject line will determine whether or not the rest of the message is ever read. Remember to keep it straightforward.

    * Start your line with a call-to-action.
    * Include the name of your company.
    * Keep the savings message at the front of the sentence.
    * Make it short for quick scanning.

    2. Opening Sentence
    All the qualities that apply to a good subject line apply to your opening line. In fact, many successful emails use their subject line as the opening line, with a slight variation. It’s not redundant; it sets the tone for the message and can act as a header.

    Good tips there jenny9, a call to action is an essential element in all marketing communications. I'm often shocked at the amount of ads, leaflets, websites, etc that do not include a strong and clear call to action.

    Wikipedia describes a Call to Action as follows;

    Hi

    Here are more tips

    Repeat the Offer : Repeat your offer throughout the message. At a minimum, it should be in the opening and closing lines of your email.

    Be Brief : The truth is that the average person doesn’t really read email. When confronted with a big block of text on their computer screen, most people’s eyes will automatically skip over it. To encourage readers to take notice:

    Create Urgency : A sense of urgency in your email will encourage readers to click through right then, rather than waiting. If your savings offer ends soon, stress it! Even if it doesn’t, include words like “hurry!” and “now” and “for a limited time only.”

    Thanks

    Important tips and information. All the replies are valuable.
    For me the most effective emails or any marketing messages include three important elements.
    1. Stating the problem your target audience has in great detail so they know you know their problem.
    2. Providing the solution to their problem, which is a list of all the wonderful benefits they will receive.
    3. Your product/service, what it is and how they can immediately receive the benefits they desire by getting your product.
    Many people need to work on the benefits they include in their messages. They offer features...their stuff. not benefits...what the user will get.

    And you should make sure to avoid sending your email during the months of December, January, July and August. because there are a lot of holiday, people will tend to be away from their computers and not check their email regularly.
