It is not possible to either "decide (the) time period for high traffic keywords" and there is no "way of fixing the deadline for a particular keyword". There are too many variables to determine how long it would take for a particular keyword, regardless of whether it is high traffic or not, to get to the top ten of Google. It depends on the type of business, the competitive nature of the business, and how competitive a keyword is. For some businesses, it may be possible to get five keyword phrases to page one of Google in four months - others, especially highly competitive keywords, may take four months for one. On the other hand, we have also had clients get to page one in less than a month. Most of our clients get to page one, for at least one of their keywords, in 90 days or less, but there are some who do not. As a general rule, a client will usually see substantial upward movement in the first 90 days - after that, if you continue to see upward movement on a consistent basis, you're going in the right direction. Even then, you will see "bouncing" - a temporary drop, followed by a rise back up - again, as long as you continue to see more upward movement than down, you are going in the right direction.
