Check / create robots.txt and allow content crawling/indexing.
If it is WordPress blog allow your content to be indexed in settings menu.
Could be a webhost issue, too - but when you are able to load the page (after clearing cache of course) this can be ruled out.

Totally agree, always check the indexing of your site, you must declare in your code that the page must be indexed.. If you are familiar with "index, follow"

If you get error like Google bot can't access your site then you can cehck out View details link in that you will get the idea why your site can not access.

First thing you can do to check your sites' functionality is by using their "Fetch As Google" tool in the webmaster tool. By this, you can get more information why your site is not being crawled by Google.

Sign up to Google Webmaster tools, verify your blog and then you can request the indexing of your site or individual pages via crawl > fetch as google.

Most of the time its because of Hosting... too much load or problem in the hosting when bot visit your website... Make sure that you have mention allow content indexing on your robots.txt file.

You should check source code of your website first, it'd be a chance to have noindex and nofollow tag into your robots and googlebot meta tags.

First thing make sure your Google webmaster tools file is c uploaded correctly into your domain path or not.
Next you should create an xml file and upload it to webmaster tools sitemap.
Then you should create a robots.txt file.
Here robot file should allow search engines.

There are many reasons that can cause this error first you must check in robots.txt if u have block the google bot, second in your website code u might added the tag noindex nofollow if it is there then remove that. and check your site once from other network if it is opening correctly.
