Use those keywords that mention your business name or famous product or in name that comes in your domain name.

I suppose this would depend on what kind of site you have.

When you say BRAND, you are actually naming your site itself by your own, not using a keyword to name it at all. For example, you have a website about dog cages, and you want to create a brand for your website, you can use a unique name for your website like "CagedIn.com" which will have a brand name of CageIn. But in other ways, if you choose a keyword to use in your site name for keyword purposes, you may use like "DogCages.com" or CageforDogs.com" and have a keyword/s like dog cages, cages for dogs, etc.

    Regards,
    Alex

Choose words that are closely related to your trade, words that would more likely come up several times in conversations, keyword searches, and articles. It's good if the keywords you choose are part of your company name such as "SomethingDesign.com" for a graphics design company. This way, your site would be more likely to crop up in a web search than if its name was something obscure or completely unrelated to your keywords.

It would be better if you will use keyword suggestion tool like Google adword keyword tool to get some idea about relevant keywords.Do your competitor's website analysis ,that work will also help you to get more idea regarding selection.

Well, if you mean "brand" using keywords, I recommend you to use SEMrush for keyword analysis. I do not rely too much on G Adwords though it can also be very helpful.

Branded keywords usually involve the name of your school. An example would be "McGill University", which is the name and branded keyword for the university in Montreal. Branded traffic can often be correlated with traditional forms of advertising and your brand equity. They may help garner larger conversion rates, especially if your institution is a well-known school, but they are not particularly competitive. In fact, we find that for most of our clients, organic traffic is related to their brand, creating an opportunity to optimize their websites for non-branded keywords involving programs and faculties.

If you want to market your brand. Start using your company name or the brand of your product in promoting your service or business. Plus use a keyword that is related to your product.

I think you wanted to know how to generally pick the right keywords? Just do a search and learn what are some tranding topics in the niche your website is established.
