What would be the development cost of an eCommerce website?
First of all determine what type of software you want to use … its all starts from there …
There are lots of things involved in developing a website. If you want to develop it yourself then the software you want to use or if you choose to get it done form someone then their charges which may vary. You may also count in the cost of the domain name of your site and the cost of hosting as well to the overall cost of the site.
As already said: it depends... So many factors here, but there are available some webhosting providers which are offering full website deployment of ecommerce solutions beginning from design and domain registration ending on hosting, all you need is just a money
eCommerce websites normally costs $1200.
You need to use some opensource platform like opencart, oscommerce, zencart, virtualmart or wordpress.
WordPress plugin will be helpful to you called as woocommerce
opencart platform is good too
You need to hire a good developer who can give u a very good admin panel to update the products, categories, payment module, shipping and tax module.
Total price depends on developer but a good developer will charge you about 1200-1300 and time of 20-25 days.
Domain and hosting is included in this price by most of the developers.
If you have too many products I think admin panel who can integrate with your dropshipper so you dont have to upload the products and categories by yourself will be also a good option
Hope this helps
It can be zero cost if you use wordpress . They have lots of free themes and plugins to meet all website needs. But if you want premium themes and plugins, they have lots of those too
If you want to buy logos, you can get it for $5 from fiverr.com
It all depends upon what you want and in your website, the expertise of the developer, The tool which will be used to develop the website such as magento, wordpress, or other tools and the reputation of the agency which will be doing the development
It depends that what kind of functionalities you want into your websites, what cms you would like to use for your website. You may also count the cost of the domain name of your site and the cost of hosting as well to the overall cost of the site. It can be easier for you if you would use theme generating software such as TemplateToaster(http://templatetoaster.com/) , WIX (http://www.wix.com/) etc. You may try its free version after getting satisfied, you my buy it full version at a very low cost. You just need to design your themes and install it on respective CMS.
It is a wrong perception, however, that cheap web hosts entail poor quality of services because there are really, indeed, reputable web host providers that are offering affordable or cheap web hosting packages.
Hi, rkraj. Did you have a chance to gather a bit more details as far as the prerequisites are concerned. The costs are: hosting, design, maintenance. The factors that will affect the total cost are: type of eCommerce site, required bandwidth, Design scope etc.
You can send an email to a potential web hosting service and judge their customer service, firsthand.
To be honest it did not cost me much with having web site. When I wanted to start my site I was thought it to be very expensive but all thanks to GoDaddy and their superb “wsb1” promo code I was able to get my web site ready in a very cheap rate with as with this offer I was able to get the web builder and free domain at just $1 per month.
It does not cost much. There are free scripts available and for starting go with a low cost web hosting.

Tricky question! Cost Financial transactions. hosting, security, user interface, architecture, CRM, marketing should be calculated. If you have the capital to invest in an ecommerce venture, whatever you think it will take in terms of time and money to build and launch an ecommerce site, multiply that dollar amount by 75% and that’s your marketing budget.
An online store / ecommerce website with all standard features can be built on open source ecommerce platforms. Design and development of such website should not take more than Rs. 1.2 Lakhs.
Depend on the project if you make a small HTML site. It won't cost you more than 100 dollars and If you want to make a CMS then it cost you above 500 dollars
