There are a few clarifications that I require about the title of a web page. What is the relevance and significance of a page title and how much time does it take to become operative? Is there any kind of symbol or a specific word limit with which I should be familiar? If this is the case then what are the things that I should remember while creating a web page? Is it true that adding a keyword to the title helps to increase the competence and the productivity of the website? In fact, all that my client needs is to increase traffic. How can I change the length under such circumstances?

Different search engines have different length limitations on what they will include in the title and different browsers have different lengths on what they will display. A safe bet is to limit the length to 65 characters (including spacing).

Another thing about page titles is that there is some strongly held opinion that the first words in a page title have more weight with the search engines than the words near the end of the title. I don't know if that is true, but both for that reason as well as to improve the usefulness for your reader, you should put the most important part of your title first. For example, if you want the name of your company or website to appear in the title of every page, it should come at the end of the title. An example would be "How to Select the Right Widget | Universal Widget Co." rather than "Universal Widget Co. | How to Select the Right Widget".

The Page title is extremely important. You can see Google highlight this tag in the search results. It's perhaps the most important place to have the keyword.

    1. I do agree that page title will play some role in SEO. But you cannot say TITLE always plays role in SEO.
    2. Title should have 60-70 Characters - But not that, the exact title will not be shown in Google, As Google have the rights to change your site title for its SERP (Ex: Shown 1.1)
    3. Title can be filled with Keywords, but not necessary. (Ex: 1.2)

    View attachment 1250

In the above image, the title of the website is mentioned as LethimStay.com in Google, but the original Title is "Home Improvement Tips and Guides"

    View attachment 1251

In the above Image, if you search in Google for "Click Here" The Adobe Results will be shown on top, which was not optimized in title for "Click Here" at all. So this shows that we no need to have keywords in the title if we build strong back links.

However, it is necessary to be least imperfect in Google, so we are in need to fulfill all of its algorithm as much as possible.

It's highly important since it is the first interaction the surfer has with your website / service. within as little as 5 sec you should impress the surfer / catch his eyes and yet has to be relevant and unique, hence its importance.

Your page title should also be relevant to the content of your page. Aside from that, it has to be easy to remember.

The page title is the most important on-page SEO factor. Google and the majority of major search engines place a great deal of weight on this on-page element, in fact more so than any other on-page element. Optimizing a Title for maximum benefit in SEO is a relatively simple process, however you are still well advised to abide by the following guidelines when doing so.

Why it is important? what is your supporting fact?

Title tag is most important factor for on page SEO. Keywords in Title tag is necessary but not abuse it.

Wrong practice - SEO Company India, SEO Company, Top SEO Company in India, obviously the title tag is more targeted search engine rather than reader

Good practice -Digital Marketing Agency | SEO PPC SEM Affiliate Company UK, The title tag is well describe the and target multiple keywords.

Best Practice: SEO Software. Simplified. | SEOmoz, the tag have branding and well describe. SEOMOZ subpage title tag is easy to follow, it show at site link.

It's probably the second most important thing behind your domain name, as it's the second part of the website that the robots will crawl. Google truncate the title at 66 characters (including spaces) and Yahoo at 120. Here are some basic guidelines:

Every page must have a different title tag.
The length should never exceed 120 characters. Preferably 85.
It should use proper grammar and gracefully truncate at both 66 and 75 characters (by that I mean whole words should end at those points so they don't get cut off).
It should start with the name of your site or business and lead readers down through the levels of your site.
It should, if possible, include a call to action of some kind
If possible, keywords in the title should be repeated in the URL, meta keyword tag, heading tag and page body tag.
