How do I earn more cash/income with my debt situation? I want to clean out all my debt and move at least some of quality of life a bit. My goal right now I'd like to have in income is $32,000 annually. That's about $15/hourly rate working 40hours a week.

(check the topic - http://businessadviceforum.com/showthread.php?t=4164, of my debt situation.)

As you know I can’t get a 2nd job, or a better job, just because the job I got right now is perfect with little to no stress and the benefit that I can work on my school/homework on downtime (which is the majority of my work shift) during work hours, so making my life a whole lot easier.

Anyone with any clue on what I should do or can do to earn more cash without delaying my goals to start and finish my education? I plan on going to college for the next 4 year starting in Jan 2010.

One other bad thing that will happen according to my mother, she's saying she is retiring in 2 years and I'll be fully responsible in paying a majority of the house bills (which I live in right now & live house bill/rent free). That is an enormous amount of pressure to complete college in 2 years, which will give me a A.S Degree in Business Administration (which is pretty much worthless from what I've researched). I need to earn about $4000 a month in order to be able to pay for the house bills and my current bills/expenses. So once I’m finished with my community college/A.S. program I’ll have to delay the rest of my education and look for a higher paying job than I got now. I got no idea what to do in this situation, seriously. I am extremely worried and panicking…

FYI: I make an estimate of $12K-$15k of annual income... And I started to think about this much more when I heard some 18 year old girl (on a radio show as a caller) said she is living on her own with no help from anyone. She's working as a Pharmacy Tech and earned some kind of certificate that only took her 8 months. That got my blood boiling since I'm having such a hard time as a 24 yr old and living on my own but in my mother's property which she owns (but dont live in, I live alone).

I may be considering of trying some freelance stuff or running some small business of service like offering my moderate/intermediate skills in PC troubleshooting and tech fixing to anyone like businesses or people, but only work on Desktop PCs, not anything else.

I like the idea of starting a tech based small business. What is your qualification? If you own a certificate then you can earn enough money. Let the freelance job and other kind of online jobs be your part-time. That is supplementary income. Find yourself a real life job. Good luck :)

If you are really good in computers , i would suggest you should look for some freelancing work in hardware and networking industry.

Most of the people do use a computer now a days and almost 90% of them use windows as their operating system. The treat of virus attack or any other infection is very high so people with sound knowledge of troubleshooting issues related to Os or hardware would be always in demand.
You can even go one step ahead and learn Unix/Linux , now a days many people would like to run their business from their own homes and you can help them setup their own servers as per their need.
    Hope this will help.
    My best wishes.

It's a great idea to become PC specialist, especialy now, when Win7 showed up. In my country, just installing windows costs 20-30$ and takes 0.5-1h.
You should also think about writing tech related articles - they sell very well.

'm absolutey new to internet marketing but since i'm no longer working i'm trying to learn as much as possible. On my travels I ran across the easiest way I've found to make money yet. I decided to take a chance last week and I already made over $200 so if i find anything good online I try to let everyone know. The link is at the bottow so go check it out and if you have any questions email me.

for some reason I cant edit... so I'm going to add, what kind of certificates would I look into to be able to fix & troubleshoot PC Desktop issues using windows? I dont want to really get into server side stuff, mac, laptops, unix/linux, because they're a very different thing than PC Desktops using a windows OS.

My local college runs a ten week part time course on PC maintenance. It's three hours per week for ten weeks. Perhaps you could find something like this in your area.

Also you don't necessarily need to complete a course, you could learn from experience, books and from online learning. Please let me know if you are serious about this and I will dig out some helpful resources for you.

Also how many hours per week, will you have to spend on increasing your earnings? E.g. if you decide to offer tech support, how many hours per week can you spend doing that?

I think I know a lot and enough to be able to fix most typical issues from a PC. I just need a certificate for I can convince some people to use my service.

Right now, I got about 10-15 hours I can use to give tech support, until I start college in Jan. 2010, then I got no clue how much free time I got since I got no clue how hard or how easy college will come to me.

I'm serious enough to do this, but I'm not serious enough to spend over $200-$300 of investing into this since I got no cash.

If you have the skills and abilities Chris, I'm really not sure that you need a cert. I've used people to fix PC's in a work environment before and our main priority was that they could do the job in a secure and efficient way. We never asked them for certs. Personal recommendations were worth a lot more. You could start with helping friends and family out with their PC problems and ask them to recommend you if they know someone else who needs help.

You could try to get some free or at least cheap advertising in your local area. You might try classified ads in your local newspaper, doing your own posters and putting them up on notice boards in local stores, Post Offices, libraries, colleges and even at electrical stores that sell computers (if they'll let you). If you are consistent and work hard at it you will get business.

I don't know much about what you can do in terms of freelance jobs online since I don't know your skills. You have to play to your strength.

Well, you can also give legit PTCs, GPTs and surveys a try, they may not earn you as much as you hope, but they do earn you a little at a time. You may also want to consider investing in forex trading, it can be a pretty lucrative business if you invest in the right auto-forex program.

    hi

ido agree with idea of starting a tech based small business. doin online job is also a good way to make quick money.. and also Books, CDs, unused sports or exercise equipment, clothing, novelty items -- people buy all kinds of things. Even if you're selling several small items, the money can add up. Just make sure the buyer, not you, pays the cost of shipping.. good luck..

Most of the youngster now know the basic fixing of desktop PC, i don't think this is still a good income works now, i think you may try try doing online selling as your part time jobs. Since you are interest in technical things, may be you can try buying and selling computer items either online or offline. Looks for online vendors for uniques items to sell, and sell it at the local store, where there is still nobody in your country selling now, you may make some good profits with it.

Having a skill using computers either software or hardware can be your edge in earning an hourly online job to earn more cash.

Consulting” may sound intimidating. It’s really just a fancy word for someone who trades their knowledge and expertise for pay. Every time you make a suggestion, recommend a process, draw up a plan or manage a process, you’re using consulting skills. To get into consulting, you just need to find someone who can use your expertise.

    Hi,
Do not use any of the illegal cheats that you find online. You can sell stuff where you buy stuff. That is one way to get more cash. You can also get more cash by planting more crops and then harvesting them over time.
You may not be capable to do the surveys anymore. Apparently people are getting charges on their credit cards and cell phone bills from filling out those surveys to get more cash.
You can also spend real money to get real cash. These are the only authorized ways to get cash.
    Thanks
