How big businesses actually got their names

    Thanks for sharing. I was trying to think of a name for a business I would like to open up, but I can't think of a good name. Hopefully this would help :)

    Thanks, I may if I can't think of a name. I have thought of some names that are good but either the domain name is taken or it is too long. I want something like Go Daddy's name where people will remember it if they see it. That is the thing that is troubling me the most. This business won't be opening up any time soon though :p

    most of them named their company thru abbreviations. i like how coca cola got theirs.

    Hi,
    The best way to name your business is your product affiliation with that name. If you go for the same nature of name as your product is, than it will be the best name. The example of coca cola is best in this sense because it relates with the name and we can develop our understanding by reading about it.

    I picked my company name in the name of a famous pickel.

    Well, it's called branding. Once you have product that can attract people, it can create something in their heads that will make them go back to your site. :)
