When you are sending mass mails out do you typically use "Hey Guys"(or something along those lines), or "Hey, [Insert Name Here]"?

Why or why not? Have you tried both? Is one more effective than the other?

When I receive an email that is addressed to me personally, I am more likely to give it my attention, because I feel that it is probably something that I opted into, rather than just another spam email. If you do decide to use names, ensure that your mass email caters for those who's names you don't have. Make the greeting to them as specific as possible. E.g. "Hi ACME customer" would be better than "Hi customer".

Most of the time especially those who are sending mass emails are addressing their recipients in general like customer, member, etc. The thing is some people rather like to address them with their own name rather than those. Although I can't really blame them if they prefer this kind of method because most likely they may have lots of clients to attend to.
