some people do like the ones i knew in seo.ph and some Indonesian seo guys.
i find it really nice if i win too but i seem not really good at it but i kept trying every contest though.

here's a contest that you might just want to join http://www.shireeodiz.com/seo-idol.html
and whats interesting is that the first prize is $11K :D

    has anyone joined?

I checked out the site, and it appears that they trying to get others to do their SEO work for them, and disguising it as a contest. I noticed in the rules that not only do "contestants" need to create a page with links to the contest page, but they also must include links to the contest sponsor's page. In this way, they can pay only about $18,000 for the SEO work, instead of hiring a reputable SEO company (yes, they do exist) that may charge thousands more. And some people who do the SEO work for them don't get paid at all - only the winners do. Entrants are also required to become affiliates of the sponsoring company.
I don't think I'm going to enter, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either.

$11,000 for first prize in an SEO contest? That's the highest prize I've seen yet for an SEO contest. I've participated in quite a few. The highest prize was a thousand dollars.

Exchange links for what? That would only hurt us in the competition.

Most the seo contests are same purpose, they are looking for tons of people to do the seo for them.
You can't expect they spend money and get nothing.

Google are more prefer natural link. If you want to go for link exchange, you shall go for at least three way link exchange

Because Google frowns upon link exchanges. That's grey hat, if not black hat.

Three way link exchanges are better because there's no way Google's bots can figure it out, unless you're linking to all sites from one. I'm sure they'd put it together eventually.

When referring to it in its acronym, as everyone is doing, "an" is the proper usage. When spelling it out, "a" would be grammatically correct.
