Hi, i am looking Google decreases their PR 10 to 9? what is the matter behind this scene ??
Is it true? I'm also interested in that .
Google's page rank has decreased before, this is nothing new. At least we know it's legitimate and they don't make themselves untouchable to the little things like this.
Didn't this happen during the previous update? And who know, Google might do a minor update in the coming weeks to regain their lost PR.
Google doesn't give two flying craps about page rank.
If that was true, why would they continue to maintain and update it?
Because webmasters think it's important. Matt Cutts, along with the rest of the Google clan, has mentioned a while back that they would be stopping page rank because they don't have time for it anymore. This is the reason it no longer updates consistently and as often as they used to.
People put way too much importance on this crap, like Alexa...
If I'm not mistaken, I posted an article here way back regarding Google's claim that PageRank is getting over rated. In my opinion, it's true.
In addition, Alexa is crap. Imagine this, I got 13k visitors a day and ranked 60k+ on Alex. Now, I'm getting 20k each day, I'm down to 90k. Tsk tsk.
Recently Facebook PR also drop from 10 to 9, so I am not surprise that Google drop ranking. PR and Alexa are important for site-owner to sell links or ads, it is general reference. Gekidan, your site visitor improve but alexa drop, this can be due to those visitor does not install Alexa toolbar.
That's only because the majority of your traffic does not have the Alexa tool bar installed on their computer. That's how Alexa measures the traffic, based on their tool bar.
There has been recent change in Page rank and so Google may also have lost it to 9 . It happen few month back then then Google reverted it back.
I knew that. It just tells how the Alexa ranking is crap.
It will come back soon.
I have great confusion with my colleagues. I agree, back links from niche sites that have PR greater than the PR of our site help to raise PR. But my question is when Google calculate the PR which Page Rank they consider. The PR of the domain or the PR of the page where the link is situated?
I think due to after implementation of new algorithm Google is affected on PR.Actually it does not create question to this website's working feature. The drop of page rank will not effect these website's importance. There are many owners of changes in the PR value.
PR is totally depend on inbound and outbound link . i think that there will be decease inbound link of Google .
I don't remember the last time I looked at a sites pagerank..lol
I certainly wouldn't worry about Google's PR
Because internet marketers think it's essential. He Cutts, along with the relax of the Search engines group, has described a while again that they would be avoiding pr because they don't sufficient for it nowadays. This is the purpose it no more up-dates continually and as often as they used to.
I don't keep in mind the before I checked out a websites authority..lol
I certainly wouldn't fear about Google PR
Google usually decreases and increases its page rank according to the weightage that is meant that your website's page rank can also be decrease.
