If you visit the Google home page and click the I'm Feeling Lucky Button, without entering a query in the search box, it brings up a countdown, currently at "1694855".

Anyone got any ideas what it is about?

The "I'm Feeling Lucky™" button on the Google search page takes you directly to the first webpage that returns for your query. When you click this button, you won't see the other search results at all. An "I'm Feeling Lucky" search means you spend less time searching for web pages and more time looking at them.

I believe it is a countdown in seconds to the new year.

This doesn't work for me. When I click "I'm Feeling Lucky", this one shows up.

Edit: It works now and shows this number: 1596739
It seems to be a number of seconds before a certain event. I may be Xmas or New Year.

Yup, it's just a countdown to 2010. Nothing special I guess. Hopefully Internet will not change to Googlenet next year. hikhikhik.

*Try clicking on Yahoo! exclamation mark if you have time. :)

Nothing happens when I do that, it just links to the home page. What do you see?
