Good promotional ideas for business.

    We have a restaurant and it had been going down for a while. We have done some renovations and have changed some of our services and now are reopening it next month. We have been thinking of doing a projection advertisement, before reopening the restaurant. Will it be right to do projection advertisements or should we do some simple advertisings. Could use some suggestions on this.

    Any type of advertisements are great for your business. Do some internet advertising likes Google ads, Facebook ads etc. even if you start your restaurant.

    I won't suggest going for Google or Facebook ads unless you're kinda of well established with tons of reviews about your services you offer. You can start locally and by spending time spread the word over different kinds of forums and conversational sites, maybe going locally as well. Once you're well established you can start spending money on advertisements.

    I will suggest you to go on social media profiles. I think you should pay to the specific advertisements which are at any food specific website in local. where users go to check reviews about restaurants and food. For example in my area Zomato website and app is very popular to know about the restaurant address and atmosphere and about the food. Try to place advertisement on these type of website.

    Hey guys. Thank you so much for your suggestions. I have already used Facebook for promotions and will be doing Google ads soon. I although have had a meeting with the Grassroots Advertising Inc., and they have agreed to do do a projection ad for my restaurant. They seem pretty good. Has anyone taken up their services before. Would like to hear your views. Thanks once again

    I won't suggest you the same as people above have talked about social media. But as your restaurant is going to open in few weeks, try to make your promotion tactics bit exciting & don't just ramble or bore your audience with boring restaurant details. Showcase your restaurant in unique way, which will help your audience to remember your brand. Even with your social media campaign you can create excitement or suspense sort of ad which will create a buzz & people will want to know more about it. Just like some movie trailer

    My biggest suggestion would to be get on most to all social networking platforms and post content relevant to your business and follow, subscribe, and add different accounts in your niche and converse among each other. Another suggestion is to advertise any way possible - through forums, word of mouth, etc.

    Instead of advertising or promotional activities focus on your services first. The customer satisfaction is the key to business success. If the service provided by you are better than your competitor, then there is no need for further promotion. It will be done automatically by your satisfied customer.

    2 days before opening, hand out 2000 leaflets in the area, door to door. You'll be guaranteed to get some customers. 200 leaflets = around £40. You can make that back in one meal...

    Going forward, get on Facebook, Twitter etc. Word of mouth is the best method of promotion IMHO.

    Local offline advertisement will be best for you, Target tourist who comes from different country and If you offer various variety then it will be good for them.

    You can use google advertisement.

    I was write a book on this but can't share it since my book is written in my native language.


    Early to bed, Early to rise, Work like hell and advertise.. advertise and advertise.

    Businesses are now heavily relying on what you call Content Marketing. You have to create a content, damn good one, and you distribute it all over social media through the use of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). The content may be video, audio recording, images or blogs that talk about various and trending topics of the related industry you are in. You don't sell your products or services through those content, but instead, you share things that customers or prospects something that they can relate with or get informed with. It helps you to build a GOOD reputation as showing that you value your customer's satisfaction more than easy money. When customers began to trust you because of the useful and sincere content they get from you, conversion and sales will naturally be the by-products.

    Your advice is good, but you made a an assumption that can be confusing. Yes, distributing content "all over social media" is part of SEO, but just distributing the content is not done through SEO. It is, however, Content Marketing. Also, rather than distribute his content "all over social media", it would be more effective to distribute his content by targeting his intended audience, either by using the appropriate social media websites, or by addressing a particular type of reader within social media websites, or both.

    Well, Davij, It would be great to advertise for any business. So to the best of my knowledge, social media is a great way to effectively convey restaurant brand message to the target audiences. People use different social media platforms as per their interests. For example, professionals generally use LinkedIn. Businesses in the fashion industry like to use Instagram and Pinterest to reach to consumers. Twitter and Facebook are common social channels that most of the businesses explore. So, it is essential to first analyze your target audience and where they are likely to hang out. So it could be a good & succesful idea to promote your restaurant business.

    As per me you have to go with digital marketing. In digital marketing we can do with social media optimization. You can do google adwords, facebook add etc. to promote your business

    Now the days most of the Business depends on Internet Marketing .You have to list your Business on various Business listing site city Search ,hot frog, CitySquares, DexKnows, Foursquare. Do promotion on social media like facebook,google plus, twitter.

    When you go for advertising and marketing of a product/services make sure you do it with full force. Don't be choosy, instead first try and distinguish between your possible customers and not-so-possible-customers. And then go on to check the most effective channels top reach out to them. For instance these could be Ads on radio channels, Banner Ads,etc. The idea is to get your brand-name into their sub-conscious mind.

    And your surely need to make your food tastier, to stay and survive. Focus on your strengths and be innovative at adding new items on your menu. But make sure you collect as much reviews before putting any item on your menu.

    You should definitely use social media marketing tools along with some real promotional products. If I were you, I would use some useful things like key chains, magnets or lapel pins with the name of your restaurant. Here is the sample of such lapel pin

    You can suggest your own design. People will wear these cute things and at this time advertise your restaurant. Good luck!
