youngkia1 have you tried the following?

Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Select the program and click Remove.

If the remove program option doesn't work under control panel, it might sound like a virus if your desktop is turning black.

You can try logging in to safe mode and uninstall it from there. If you cannot log on to safe mode then it is positive that your computer is infected.

    Please share more information.

    What was the software, youngkia?
Are you getting any kinds of error messages or is the screen just completely black?
What kind of computer do you have? (seen a few posts before about Dell laptops having a black screen problem)
    What OS do you use?

The more you tell us, the better chance we can find a solution.

Ah... I think that you are seeing the "Ask for Genuine Microsoft Windows" logo or something like that.
It's the thing that MS do to your computer if they found out that you are using a pirated copy of their OS.
Best thing to do: Get a Genuine copy of your Windows OS and install it. You will not get anymore alerts like that if your OS is genuine.

EDIT: Is it similar to this?
