Can you please define "organic"? Does that meant that the link is posted as "normally as possible"?

Its simple that they used signature to get back links. and organic traffic basically the visitor that comes from search engine. due to increasing the backlinking.

no,I do think it will not hurt your website if you put the link into signature box, as long as you keep posting quality posts and you are helpful to the others.signature links are quality backlink in google's eyes.

I don't think YET that forum sigs will hurt your website at all. To think that most SEO's are making use of lots of forums and put on their signatures. Probably it just depends on how your signature goes / how you place / how your sig appear + how you post on certain forums.

Do the appearance of your signature link really matters?

In my opinion signatures do not hurt because it is the identity of the writer of the post. So it is quite sure that signatures always help in improving not only the keyword's rankings but to give good and quality back links as well.

Hmm. Not at all, but probably in certain ways we are YET to know. (as I view it). More often, the more appealing your signature/s are, the more it become an effective way for other members to click (probably on that sig). Some members just post on their sigs using their keywords - some make use of appealing sentences of structures to make their sigs attractive. Your sig could be an add, or a banner, or whatsoever is allowed.

So it depends actually - and mostly it also depends on the discretion of the forum mods if they are going to allow the way you want your sigs to appear every time you post on them.

But the appearance itself won't really directly affect your site, whatsoever.

Funny thing there is that the poster itself has a forum sig. So well I don't think it will hurt you as much as he is trying to say.

    Maybe this can help. ;)

Organic linking is the development of hypertext links between web sites with or without an explicit agreement to exchange links. Organic links are more likely to appear in a context relevant to the subject of the target document, which makes them useful for search engines like Google search that rank pages according to their links. Organic links often receive most web traffic through these portals. Estimates vary, but 50-80% of users clicks tend to go through organic links on the first page of a search engine's responses. ~en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organic_linking

Well I personally agree with this. It is like if you promote on a forum in a topic then it might hurt you because those rankings for that thread might go higher up in results that what your actual forum or website does.

According to me, Forum signatures does not hurt because it is the identity of the community person of the post. Forum signature helps to increase number of backlinks for website. It raises visitors to website.

Why would it hurt? Unless it is posted on illegal or bad niche like porn, drugs and gambling, that's totally unrelated to your niche.

It would only hurt when you spam only for getting signature even you are on a RELATED forum/s. I personally look at forums as not just for signature link purposes but for building of your brand, your credibility and your reputation as well.

Those do-follow / no-follow / link juice / etc etc. were more likely just EXTRA BENEFITS of posting quality information and helpful information at all. You may even got a chance to get some extra feature from the forum or its owners as you share on what they think are making their forums a informative community online.
