Aotomotive company Fisker is learned to be laying 160 of its employees, which accounts to about 75 percent of the total work force. This may lead to the end of luxury hybrid auto manufacturer. Fisker said it is a necessary strategic step on the way of maximizing value of core assets of the company. About 160 rand-and-file employees were allowed to go without getting severance packages where as 53 senior executives and managers asked to remain and help pursue buyers for the assets of Fisker, said anonymous source. Recently the company had faced some trials and tribulations. It was hard hit by Sandy Hurricane that destroyed 300 of its Karma vehicles. Also, owners of the vehicle reported some issues like that of catching of fire and random break downs.
