I'm unsure about the safety of these browsers. Both are cool, but now they become more and more populars in hackers' attacs.
Opera is less popular than Firefox, but in Russia Firefox is more popular. I think there are much more attacs from Russian hackers, so if I choose Opera - hackers are ready to hack it?

May be somebody can advice another, less popular browser?
    Thanks.

I haven't heard any news of any hacks on Firefox and Opera Appeapyheda. Can you share the link on the article with the rest of the BAF community?

You might also try using IE or even Google Chrome.

I've been using firefox for the last 3 years and so far I haven't met any hacking. It's safer than any other browser.

Firefox or one of its derivatives (there are quite a few)

I only use Opera for testing.

I can't use Chrome, as they've only released it for Windows so far

I use Firefox and Chrome, mostly.

Chrome is faster. I like Firefox because of all the toolbars, addons I've got there & it's secure as well.

Ditto for me. I normally use Chrome, but sometimes switch to FF when I want to use Google toolbar for convenient tools like Page Rank and back link checking.

Welcome to the Business Advice Forum Anorrilia.

In the latest speed tests done by some review sites like CNET. Google Chrome comes up on top when it comes to speed as compared to IE, Firefox and Safari. See this news article.

In another news, Mozilla counters that it's Firefox v3.1 will be faster than the Chrome. The new version of Firefox is expected to be launched before the end of this year. See this news article.

Among the features of browsers, I have to say that my top priority would be security. In saying that, I wouldn't try a browser that I haven't heard of before like the Advanced Browser. Right now, I'm only using Firefox for most of my browsing and surfing in the net and IE because some sites only work on IE.

I've only tried Chrome once and I have to admit that it's quite fast but it's still in Beta so it's probably not that secure.

I make it a rule to never touch an updated browser version, never mind a new type of browser entirely, until at least a month after the initial issue unless it's a high security update. That way by the time I want to get it, most of the major bugs have been reported, fixed and incorporated into the most current version available for download.

I like FF for the tabs and add-ons but will use IE too when I'm building sites and testing the functionality of various components. Some can look great in FF and be a shambolic mess in IE so while I'd happily give up IE forever, I can't do what I do without it. I've got to keep in mind IE is still what the majority use and put personal dislikes aside.

Chrome I haven't tried yet but from what I've seen it looks very nice. I probably will at some point but just haven't had time to devote to something like that.

Fergal, give it another go. I just tried it and it loaded fine so may be just a glitch. :)
