Although posting "fun stuff" is nice once in a while, keep in mind that this is a business page. I have "fun stuff" on my page, by members that I follow. However, almost everything I post is related to my business. Having a large number of followers does nothing for you if they come to your page for the "fun stuff", but go to someone else to have their taxes done. Even though people couldn't care less about the tax code, it is up to you to make it interesting, to present your business as the "go to" place if they want their taxes prepared professionally.

Apply the 80/20 ratio to balance everything. You can still post something about tax codes but make sure that your followers will relate to them. Just look at a different angle to avoid getting your followers bored.

80/20 rule means posting 80% of content that talks about something beneficial for your followers and 20% promotional/sales stuffs. Don't steer away too far from your niche or else you'll attract irrelevant audiences.

If you want to make awareness about the tax through fun, you can use the meme in your posts. Nowadays meme is in trend and people will take it as a fun but will learn something for sure.

Every business is different and best practices constantly change, but I have found that the more human I can make my social media the more naturally I can incorporated a call to action. I wouldn't think about it as either or, but both simultaneously. Maybe you can make a funny skit about how taxes are a headache and then have a call to action like, "Don't get a tax headache! File today!" Always have a call to action such as "give us a like, join our mailing list, etc." even in the content is fun.

Well, thanks for the theory 80/20 rule. Good tip for me! I think this rule can be applied to the other stuffs which are different either.
