    A 1 click method works best in ecommerce websites

    What that means is people do not have to be taken to the homepage always

    take them to the particular page directly from Google or Google adwords which has the details of particular product and they can add to cart

    Too much navigation is not good for sales.

    For example if you some one on Google search for SOny camera 3.6 when the results are shown and your homepage of website is showing there you may get the click but client may not want to spend time to go to products than categories, products and view detail page. Instead target view detail page directly so they reach to the target and buy it immediately.

    Also optimizing each page of product with keywords and contents is important

    multiple pictures of same product with good quality are important

    may be a video with a model trying that product or something will help too

    guest checkout is important too as people do not want to spend time becoming a member and all

    lot of payment options can help clients too

Your home page is one of the important qualities you have. Search engine will give more importance to your home page. You have to consider every product no more than three clicks away from your home.
