Many people are in situations where numerous opportunities are available to them in different aspects of their lives. When a door is opened, taking full advantage of the opportunity that has been offered should be considered if it is a good fit for your personality, your set of goals, your family, and your lifestyle. It is very heartbreaking to see so many opportunities that have not been pursued because the level of fear that an individual may feel. Fear can really cause many dreams to never become a reality.

When a new opportunity comes into our lives that will create a better life for not only yourself, but for your entire family, the first thought that may come to mind is the fact that you don’t know what the outcome of this new venture may be and decide not to take advantage of it. You may see another individual who was given the same opportunity and they advance and achieve to a new level in life where you planned to be. Fear held you back from reaching your maximum potential. When new opportunities arise in our lives, you will never know what may happen unless you take a chance. We all can feel vibes of when something is just not right and decide to pass on it, however, if the only reason you pass on an opportunity is because you are afraid because it’s a new territory you’ve never experienced in life, you should really consider looking into it further, ask questions, and decide if it’s right for you at this time. Don’t let your fear of the unknown allow to you pass up on great opportunities.

I agree, there are so many instances where one does not strive to achieve his full potential simply because of fear of failure. John F. Kennedy said, "Those who dare to fail miserably, can achieve greatly." When we let go of that security blanket of familiarity, and step into the unknown, only then can make progress. There is no guaranteed success with any new venture, but there is absolutely no chance of success without venturing into something new.

I agree. Don't limit yourself and don't decline opportunities that are knocking on your door just because you are afraid of failing. Life is about taking chances and risks. If you want to attain something in life, you have got to be brave, and if ever you fall down, learn how to be resilient and stand up again.

The same could be said about economy about the risk/margin problem. So many, so many wants to have less risks with higher margins, because that means doing less efforts and the choice is straight. But if it was only straight, everyone would do it and that wouldn't be a money-making plan. This is often how we get crisis, because some accept to believe stupid promises to not take a risk, while the risk is effectively higher, but they don't know it but they're happy of it.

About life in general, I agree with what it is said, but taking the right opportunity is important as well, especially when you got a choice between two opportunities in your hands. And that will happen if your pursue them. Doing the good choice quickly is an ability you should learn if you want to take good opportunities.

I think we just have to know the difference between fear and being cautious. Taking a calculated risk in business may be the one thing that will cause you to strike oil. If you do something nobody else is willing to do you will be ahead of the game in a hurry. When someone has failed at something it is natural for them to be scared to take chances. If you learn from your mistakes you can make better decisions, even when it comes to things that are new to you.

Be daring. That is the advice of our university professor in the Marketing subject. You can never succeed if you don't try and success is nearer if you are daring. However, always keep in mind that prudence is important and still takes the number 1 priority in any undertaking. When you are too daring, you tend to gamble against the risk and what if you fail? For me, being too cautious is bad but not being cautious is worse.

As a person with an anxiety disorder, I've seen firsthand the effects that fear can have on your life, and how it can cripple your opportunities. Mastering your fear and doing things anyway is one of the most important aspects of a healthy life. :) Everyone should work to master themselves and succeed!
