I was searching Sedo to see what they had to offer these days and found that there are quite a few domains going for millions, most of which are kind of lame and not worth the price tag. That's a huge amount domains. I would surely like to know who purchased je.com...that domain does not seems of that value to me. Other then that other domains to be good keyword domains.

It's not je.com it's jê.com. It's pretty valuable, mostly in that country, but I wouldn't even consider buying it. These domains weren't sold yet, they are still on auction and those numbers at the end are the amount of current bidders they have.

Ah sorry, I thought it was 'e'.
I am sure then that would be just a fake bid, don't think anyone would be buying this domain at that high value. But, then also can't say as there are always some crazy people in the world.

I'm sure the bid is legitimate as that is a short and brandable domain. The buyer is absolutely lucky. jê is "I" in French so it could be used for anything.

That would surely be good and may get good direct traffic. But, I just ask one question myself will that traffic ever convert make up good profits? And maybe it could happen that money invested in domain may not get that much return as well.

As of January 1, 2011, 65,821,885 people live in the French Republic.
Let's say half have the internet, that's 32,910,943 people.
Let's say half of those people will search for terms that will bring up this domain as a result, that's 16,455,472 people.
Let's say only half of them actually click on the domain, that's 8,227,736 people in France alone visiting their site. Let's say this is the result for a year.
Now, there are 2,685,705 people that live in the French overseas departments and territories.
Let's say half of those have the internet, that's 1,342,853 people.
Let's say half of those people will search for terms that will bring up this domain as a result, that's 671,427 people.
Let's say only half of them actually click on the domain, that's 335,714 people in French territories alone visiting their site. Let's say this is the result for a year.
Now include a small percentage of the remaining world population. That makes it more than 9 million possible unique visitors.

It’s not the domain alone which would bring business; one has to conceptualize a profitable idea when using such expensive domain. But the domain name does make an impact in the market. I find it to be a risky to invest on such expensive domains.

If it's easy to remember there's not too big of a risk involved.
