    I've decided to to change my hosting, design and new image hosting websites into one and have it as "KM Hosting" etc. Does anyone have any ideas of a domain I could use? I was thinking http://kmsites.com or http://kmportal.com and have http://hosting.kmsites.com as the domain for what ever part of the site is but they are all taken.

    Thanks. :)

    Finding a domain for a hosting business is not easy. There are so many hosts and it is such a competitive business that most domains that have the word host or hosting in them are already taken.

    What about going with a word that does not have any meaning, but that is memorable and easy to spell? You could start playing around with the letters in your name to try and come up with something, e.g. the domains below are all available (I really like the first one);

    kthosting.com
    keathost.com
    noteamhost.com
    atonehost.com
    tonehosting.com

    Good luck with it and please post back with your thoughts.

    Thanks for your help Fergal.

    Sorry if I wasn't clear but I meant something like my initials .com and use that as a portal so that I can use sub domains for my different sites. I.e design.kmwhatever.com for my web design and hosting.kmwhatever.com for my hosting but I'm not sure what to have thats available for the "whatever" bit.

    Thanks.

    You could always try contacting the owners of the domains you want, ask if they'd like to sell?

    You might have to pay a little more to get them, but it could be worth it. :)

    Keaton, what about;

    kminternet.com
    kmwebhost.com
    kmurls.com
    kmurl.com

    You could find other available domains using this excellent domain name suggestion tool.

    You can also go to http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com and try out simple url and it will give button to check on suggestions. I use this all the time. Don't try to check on availability of domains in networksolutions or other domain sites because I heard they lock some domains which they think are possibly sold later for high price.

    Putting numbers on domains is not always advisable.
    How about:
    kmkingdom.com
    kmden.com
