what is domain authority and how it is important in seo ?
In my opinion , domain authority is the power, relevance, dominance that a website has acquired over a long period of time over its particular and specific niche that it has conquered and dominated in the internet world, for example, we can say that the website, CNN is a domain authority because of its strong influence and dominance in delivering info, news, happenings, sports broadcast to the world generally. when it comes to news, CNN is one of the site that is sought after, so it has a strong authority over it. Others are DELL, HP, Microsoft, Facebook, WordPress etc. it is very important in SEO in that it helps to drive in lots of traffic visitors online daily to the site as well as create backlinks when people make references to it when necessary.
Domain authority is a metric which was created by Moz, for the purpose of rating a website on a scale of 1-100, (100 being the best and 1 being the worst). So the higher the domain authority of a website, the higher its ranking in search engines.
Domain Authority is the rating and metric technique where websites are rating according to their rating scale in Google. So, if the website is good according to the google then it can be rated as high domain authority.
There are many definition already available in Google on domain authority. I am going to share this one here "Domain authority is a measure of the power of a domain name and is one of many search engine ranking factors. Domain authority is based on three factors: Age, Popularity, and Size. SEO gurus Moz can be credited with the metric known as DA or domain authority." I guess it has explained the detail here well.
DA stands for domain authority and it depends on various factors like traffic, backlinks, referral domain, credibility, trust flow, citation flow etc. It is just a metric of a website. High DA website are easier to get rank on search engine pages.
Domain Authority is an index developed by SEOmoz launched to determine the credibility (of trust) and the strength of a domain name or a website. Unlike PA (Page Authority) only for a specific site (webpage), Domain Authority is calculated for the entire website.
Websites that are ranked over 40 considered to be good websites and worth linking to.
Domain authority could be a metric that was created by Moz (SaaS company), for the aim of rating an internet site on a scale of 1-100, (100 being the simplest and one being the worst). therefore the higher the domain authority of an internet site, the upper its ranking in search engines.
Domain Authority is a score (on a 100-point scale) created by Moz that predicts how well a site will rank on web indexes. Utilize Domain Authority when contrasting one webpage with another or following the "quality" of your site after some time.
Well to put it simple, Domain Authority is a way Google rates your website or blog out of 100 according to the work you have done on it.
No, Google does not rate your website "out of 100", Moz does. And, as pointed out in this thread, this "Domain Authority" scale no longer matters. On the other hand, if you want to know if "domain authority" matters, cheta gave a much better answer earlier in the thread.
In my opinion, Domain Authority is basically an indicator created by Moz It usually shows how effective and related backlinks you site have. In simple words, its shows how much healthy is your site in the eyes of search engines. The more you get quality links and having a good on-page setting , the more you domina authority will be. Those site having more than 40 domain authority are considered trustable sites
That is absolutely wrong. Domain Authority first of all is not a technique and second, it doesn't have anything to do with page rank increasing.
As Joseph Shivell stated above "No, Google does not rate your website "out of 100", Moz does."
