    I'm on a couple of the above mentioned forums. However, if you just go down that list and randomly submit posts, you'll get labeled a spammer and dropped from the forum. That will just result in a big waste of time. Rather, pick a couple that are relevant and participate in the discussions. A much more rewarding experience.

    I agree Flash. Posting on forums is a great way to learn and to share with other members. If you include a link in your signature other members will visit your site, provided you make good quality posts. If you make poor quality posts, this will reflect badly on the sites you link to in your sig.

    If your sole aim in posting on forums is to get back links to your site, you are probably wasting your time and the time of the people reading posts that you have put very little effort into.

    Yeah I couldn't agree more. There's little point in dropping a couple of posts in different forums and spamming. See the bigger picture, take the time to build up links and relationships with the other members, contribute something worthwhile is the way to go.

    Welcome to Business Advice Forum muqtada123.

    No those forums are not just for ads, there are some excellent forums on that list, with high quality discussions on their relevant topics. I don't think their owners would like to think that they are just for ads.

    That's a great list of websites. Thanks.
    Is it just fine to post on other forums not over 500,000 in Alexa ranking to get enough backlinks?

    Google explain Page Rank as follows;

    You can view a web pages page rank by using Google toolbar for firefox, this extension if you're using Chrome or by inputing the relevant URL's at http://www.pagerank.net/pagerank-checker/.

    You should post on forums to learn about the topic and to interact with other members, also interested in the relevant topic.

    It really is not a good idea to post on forums just to get back links. If getting back links is your main objective your posts will most probably look spammy and you may even have your account deleted. However, if you make quality and helpful posts, other members will visit your sig links and support your site and this is where the real promotional benefit comes in.

    i think traffic and backlinks doesn't correlate with each other, it would be fine to post on forums with lower traffic as some of the lower traffic forums might be better with seo.

    Thanks for the list of forums. Although many of them are not Dofollow. You may get some backlinks on the smaller search engines, but Google ignores many external links on forums.

    Don't sign up on all of them with the hope of getting backlinks, sign up and make a valuable contribution and people will take an interest in you and your site.
